Poetry Trail

Come for a relaxing walk through the Loweswater hay meadows where you will find poems written by Lorton school students installed along the path.

  • Booking not needed
  • Free event

Meadow restoration work has been taking place in several fields in Loweswater as part of the Planting for Pollinators project. The children from Lorton school came to volunteer for a day of plug planting back in June and were inspired by the work they had done for the creatures living in the meadow as well as for everyone who likes to come and enjoy the area.

Come and read their works of art as you take a look at what their hard work and that of everyone taking part in the project has achieved so far.
