What is Gift Aid?

Most of our places run the Gift Aid on Entry scheme at their admission points.

Under this scheme, if you're not a member you have the choice of two entry tickets:

  • Gift Aid Admission
  • Standard Admission

If the place runs Gift Aid on Entry, we'll offer you a clear choice between the Gift Aid Admission prices and the Standard Admission prices at the admission point. It's entirely up to you which ticket you choose.

Gift Aid Admission includes a 10 per cent or more voluntary donation. Gift Aid Admissions let us reclaim tax on the whole amount paid - an extra 25 per cent - potentially a very significant boost to our places' funds.

An extra £1 paid under the scheme can be worth over £3 to the National Trust as shown below:

  Gift Aid Standard
Amount paid by visitor £11.00 £10.00
Tax refund from Government* £2.75 £0.00
Total received by the National Trust £13.75 £10.00

*Gift Aid Admissions let us reclaim tax on the whole amount paid - an extra 25 per cent - potentially a very significant boost to our places' funds.

Please note...

Entry to Belton House is free for National Trust members. If you have a Family or Joint Membership, please bring both your membership cards to gain admission.

We operate a timed entry system to the main rooms of the mansion which is pre-bookable. Please see the website for more information.

Basement tours can't be booked in advance but are available every day until 23 November 2018. Basement tours are free with a 'House and Grounds' ticket. Paying visitors with a 'Grounds Only' ticket can buy a separate ticket for a basement tour from the information point next to visitor reception.

A family ticket applies for up to 2 adults, and 3 children aged from 5-17 years. Children under 5 are free.

Group bookings require a minimum of 15 people. The discount rate applies regardless how many National Trust members are in the group.

Main season prices: 3 March - 28 October 2018.

Winter prices: 1 January - 2 March and 29 October - 31 December 2018.
