During this curator-led tour of A Rothschild Treasury, discover the stories of the precious objects on display and learn about the tradition of treasure rooms which inspired the Rothschild family.
A Rothschild Treasury houses more than 300 objects made from rare and precious materials. From a 1st-century cameo of Augustus Caesar’s grandson to jewellery gifted by Queen Victoria, via pieces bearing Nazi inventory numbers, gold boxes and more, this gallery celebrates generations of Rothschild collecting.
In this hour-long tour with one of our curators, discover the stories behind some of these extraordinary items, many of which have never before been on public display.

What is Gift Aid?
Most of our places run the Gift Aid on Entry scheme at their admission points.
Under this scheme, if you're not a member you have the choice of two entry tickets:
- Gift Aid Admission
- Standard Admission
If the place runs Gift Aid on Entry, we'll offer you a clear choice between the Gift Aid Admission prices and the Standard Admission prices at the admission point. It's entirely up to you which ticket you choose.
Gift Aid Admission includes a 10 per cent or more voluntary donation. Gift Aid Admissions let us reclaim tax on the whole amount paid - an extra 25 per cent - potentially a very significant boost to our places' funds.
An extra £1 paid under the scheme can be worth over £3 to the National Trust as shown below:

- Meeting point
- Please meet at the main entrance to the Manor promptly at 10.50am. The tour will last approximately one hour.
- A Rothschild Treasury is located on the top floor of the Manor via stairs. If you require an alternative access route, please email firstname.lastname@example.org at least 48 hours in advance of your visit. A member of staff will go with you in a lift to the second floor. You will then need to be able to transfer yourself to a chairlift, and back again. You will need to arrive at 10.30am.
