A walk to celebrate the 200 year anniversary of the coastguard. This walk will also include other interesting history of the area.

Come and join us on this guided 5 miles walk over three of the Seven Sisters to the site of the old Crowlink Coastguard cottages. On the route learn more about the history of the site and smuggling. We then go inland up to Crowlink Hamlet talking about the history of Gayles House and the Red Barn. Finally, we head back to Birling Gap. The walk will last approximately two and a half hours over hilly country, suitable for the moderately fit

Most of our places run the Gift Aid on Entry scheme at their admission points.

Under this scheme, if you're not a member you have the choice of two entry tickets:

  • Gift Aid Admission
  • Standard Admission

If the place runs Gift Aid on Entry, we'll offer you a clear choice between the Gift Aid Admission prices and the Standard Admission prices at the admission point. It's entirely up to you which ticket you choose.

Gift Aid Admission includes a 10 per cent or more voluntary donation. Gift Aid Admissions let us reclaim tax on the whole amount paid - an extra 25 per cent - potentially a very significant boost to our places' funds.

An extra £1 paid under the scheme can be worth over £3 to the National Trust as shown below:

Meet outside the Birling Gap Visitor Centre where our friendly guides will greet you. Please have your booking confirmation ready to show.
What to bring and wear
The weather can be extreme on the Seven Sisters so please wear appropriate footwear and clothing. Ensure you bring water and sunscreen. Dogs are welcome but must be on a lead.
