Tinsel and Tweed: House Entry (Week 2)

For entry to the House between Monday 9 December - Sunday 15 December, pre-book your timed ticket here.

  • Booking essential
  • Admission applies

Christmas visits to the House are by pre-booked timed ticket only.

Pre-booked tickets are free to book, and will need to be exchanged for a token upon arrival. Entry is free for National Trust members, and normal admission applies to non-members.

Please note that your ticket time is a reflection of when you are able to enter the House, which is a 5-10 minute walk from the Visitor Centre. Once inside, you're able to take as long as you wish. The House closes at 4pm.

What is Gift Aid?

Most of our places run the Gift Aid on Entry scheme at their admission points.

Under this scheme, if you're not a member you have the choice of two entry tickets:

  • Gift Aid Admission
  • Standard Admission

If the place runs Gift Aid on Entry, we'll offer you a clear choice between the Gift Aid Admission prices and the Standard Admission prices at the admission point. It's entirely up to you which ticket you choose.

Gift Aid Admission includes a 10 per cent or more voluntary donation. Gift Aid Admissions let us reclaim tax on the whole amount paid - an extra 25 per cent - potentially a very significant boost to our places' funds.

An extra £1 paid under the scheme can be worth over £3 to the National Trust as shown below:

  Gift Aid Standard
Amount paid by visitor £11.00 £10.00
Tax refund from Government* £2.75 £0.00
Total received by the National Trust £13.75 £10.00

*Gift Aid Admissions let us reclaim tax on the whole amount paid - an extra 25 per cent - potentially a very significant boost to our places' funds.

Please note...

If arriving by cycle, on foot or public transport, please enquire about our green ticket.

Please note that we now only offer a whole site admission ticket only. When you buy your admission ticket you're directly supporting our vital conservation work here at Anglesey Abbey. There is an 'Off Peak' admission if you arrive after 4pm (3pm in the winter), please ask one of our Welcome Team for more details.

Suitability
This activity is perfect for children!
Assistance dogs are welcome.
Meeting point
Upon arrival, please exchange your e-ticket for a House token, which will indicate your entry window time. To enter the House, please meet at the front porch.
What to bring and wear
Don't forget to bring your e-ticket confirmation. The temperature of the House is controlled to protect the collection, and can sometimes be a little chilly! Please wrap up warm.
Accessibility
For more information on the accessibility of the House, please call our Visitor Welcome team on 01223 810080 or email angleseyabbeyevents@nationaltrust.org.uk.
Other
As the House has several staircases and narrow corridors, we are unable to admit pushchairs. Slings are most welcome - please ask to borrow one of our aids if you've forgotten yours. (Ours are suitable for children between 6 - 36 months). This Christmas, we have asked you to book a timed ticket so that we're able to maintain the conservation and care of the collection, and also to improve the experience inside the House.
