  • Free event (admission applies)

Enjoy our nature inspired decorations at Knole this Christmas. Take in the tall, sparkling tree in the Great Hall and impressive display on the grand table. For the first time, we invite you to explore the Ballroom, Reynolds Room, Cartoon Gallery and Kings Room during the festive period and admire our wintery displays.

Wander through the courtyards and see the twinkling lights in the Orangery. Climb the spiral stairs in the Gatehouse Tower for panoramic views of the parkland where you can also discover the life and loves of a former resident.

The shop and bookshop will be open to browse the latest seasonal gifts and finish your visit with a warming drink in the Brewhouse Cafe.

What is Gift Aid?

Most of our places run the Gift Aid on Entry scheme at their admission points.

Under this scheme, if you're not a member you have the choice of two entry tickets:

  • Gift Aid Admission
  • Standard Admission

If the place runs Gift Aid on Entry, we'll offer you a clear choice between the Gift Aid Admission prices and the Standard Admission prices at the admission point. It's entirely up to you which ticket you choose.

Gift Aid Admission includes a 10 per cent or more voluntary donation. Gift Aid Admissions let us reclaim tax on the whole amount paid - an extra 25 per cent - potentially a very significant boost to our places' funds.

An extra £1 paid under the scheme can be worth over £3 to the National Trust as shown below:

  Gift Aid Standard
Amount paid by visitor £11.00 £10.00
Tax refund from Government* £2.75 £0.00
Total received by the National Trust £13.75 £10.00

*Gift Aid Admissions let us reclaim tax on the whole amount paid - an extra 25 per cent - potentially a very significant boost to our places' funds.

Please note...

The car park is reserved for National Trust members and paying visitors to the house only. Entry must be pre-booked per person and an additional charge will be made for non-members to park on arrival. Please do not come to Knole by car unless you have pre-booked.

Please go to the 'What's On' section to book. From 1 November until 23 December, the showrooms open are the Great Hall, Ballroom, Reynolds Room, Cartoon Gallery and the Kings Room. This will be reflected in our ticket price.
