The National Trust's Women and Power Programme for 2018 commemorates 100 years of female suffrage. New social and cultural opportunities opened up after 1918 - fashion, gardening, sport, society entertaining. Offering women creative ways of expressing themselves. This talk focuses on two key women at Upton; Dorothea Bearsted, Kitty Lloyd Jones and how they began to change the role of women during this period. You will also receive a delightful afternoon tea in our 'old kitchen' Iris's tea room.

Gift Aid Admission includes a 10 per cent or more voluntary donation. Gift Aid Admissions let us reclaim tax on the whole amount paid - an extra 25 per cent - potentially a very significant boost to our places' funds.
