Artist's open studios at Gibside
Gibside Stables is home to resident artists; from printmaking and acrylics, to textiles and tailoring, it's a creative hub ready to be explored.

Set within the backdrop of Gibside, resident artists are working hard at the Stables. Inspired by their surroundings, each of them have nature at the core of their practice.
The artists are at the Stables throughout the week (so pop in and say hi) and there are open studio’s every Tuesday to see all the artists at work and shop their hand made pieces. While you're there, look out for weekend and weekday workshops, where you can learn their specialist techniques in detail.
Meet the artists:
Deb Cooper is a mixed media textile artist/maker. She works with natural forms and dyes to make her art and handcrafted products with distinctive subtle tones. Find out more via her website www.debcoopertextileart.com
Jade McGarvie works with British wool tweeds to create bespoke tailoring and textile pieces that are inspired by the colours and forms in nature. Every time you visit the TweedFiend studio there will be something different on display. Find out more via her website tweedfiend.com
Katherine Rodger is a wildlife artist and painting tutor. Working mainly with acrylics, Katherine produces detailed studies of British wild birds, set against colourful abstract backgrounds. See her work via Instagram @karo_paintings

What is Gift Aid?
Most of our places run the Gift Aid on Entry scheme at their admission points.
Under this scheme, if you're not a member you have the choice of two entry tickets:
- Gift Aid Admission
- Standard Admission
If the place runs Gift Aid on Entry, we'll offer you a clear choice between the Gift Aid Admission prices and the Standard Admission prices at the admission point. It's entirely up to you which ticket you choose.
Gift Aid Admission includes a 10 per cent or more voluntary donation. Gift Aid Admissions let us reclaim tax on the whole amount paid - an extra 25 per cent - potentially a very significant boost to our places' funds.
An extra £1 paid under the scheme can be worth over £3 to the National Trust as shown below:
