October half term fun
The garden and woods at Nymans are perfect for some autumn inspired fun. With colourful trees and lots of autumn leaves, these simple pleasures can keep everyone entertained this half-term.
- Booking not needed
- Free event (admission applies)
Pumpkin faces trail:
Find pumpkins faces dotted all around the garden, making sure to stop off at the pumpkin selfie station to capture the moment. Share your photos with us #Nymans. Pick up one of our activity sheets at the welcome hub on your way in - perfect for little ones to enjoy some seasonal fun.
Free trail and activity sheets for all to enjoy. The trails are available to collect from visitor reception at 10am to last entry at 4.30pm.
Pop up Pumpkin patch:
Bring the kids to scamper along paths through the beautiful gardens at Nymans and join in with our pop up pumpkin patch games like pumpkin hoopla.
Autumn in the garden:
The colourful flower borders beds last long into the autumn and until the first frost, while the native woodland and garden trees turn to orange and red.
Falling leaves provide the perfect opportunity for some good family fun: leaf art on the lawn and crunching leaves underfoot in the wood.
We are open every day from 10am-5pm. All activities are free with general admission (free admission for National Trust members).

What is Gift Aid?
Most of our places run the Gift Aid on Entry scheme at their admission points.
Under this scheme, if you're not a member you have the choice of two entry tickets:
- Gift Aid Admission
- Standard Admission
If the place runs Gift Aid on Entry, we'll offer you a clear choice between the Gift Aid Admission prices and the Standard Admission prices at the admission point. It's entirely up to you which ticket you choose.
Gift Aid Admission includes a 10 per cent or more voluntary donation. Gift Aid Admissions let us reclaim tax on the whole amount paid - an extra 25 per cent - potentially a very significant boost to our places' funds.
An extra £1 paid under the scheme can be worth over £3 to the National Trust as shown below:
|Amount paid by visitor||£11.00||£10.00|
|Tax refund from Government*||£2.75||£0.00|
|Total received by the National Trust||£13.75||£10.00|
