What is Gift Aid?

Most of our places run the Gift Aid on Entry scheme at their admission points.

Under this scheme, if you're not a member you have the choice of two entry tickets:

  • Gift Aid Admission
  • Standard Admission

If the place runs Gift Aid on Entry, we'll offer you a clear choice between the Gift Aid Admission prices and the Standard Admission prices at the admission point. It's entirely up to you which ticket you choose.

Gift Aid Admission includes a 10 per cent or more voluntary donation. Gift Aid Admissions let us reclaim tax on the whole amount paid - an extra 25 per cent - potentially a very significant boost to our places' funds.

An extra £1 paid under the scheme can be worth over £3 to the National Trust as shown below:

Meeting point
Walk towards the Walled Garden. Head to the ticket gate to sign up as a member or show your member card for member rate. Admission onto estate for non-members applies & charged at the gate.
What to bring and wear
The fayre will go ahead come rain or shine! Please dress for the weather and wear footwear suitable for walking in fields. Bring along some cash to make the most of your day. Limited card facilities.
Accessibility
Ask the team for accessible parking. Mobility Scooters and Wheelchairs available to use on a first come first served basis from Porter’s Lodge. A golf buggy service available throughout the day.

Interested in having a stall? Contact Rosie McVey – details below. General Parking: Parking will be across our main and overflow car park. The team at the Kiosk will direct you to the most available place. Toilets: Standard and accessible mobile toilets are available within the event. Baby Changing facilities are available within the West Wing and car park toilets. Tickets: National Trust Member? Show your card at the gate for member rate tickets (for named card holders.) Not a member? Sign up on the day and pay member rate or buy a day entry ticket per person. This ticket will cover your entry to the estate and fayre and can be upgraded for house admission, just ask the team. Payment: Limited card facilities in events field and for stalls so please bring cash to make the most of your day! Most stalls will only take cash and children’s activities may incur additional fee.
