Join the Into the Forest team on our front field on 29th May, 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 19th June for their 'have a go' activities:

Have a go Axe Throwing - £3 for 6 throws

Try your hand at throwing Norse Hawk Axes at our timber targets. Even if you have never thrown an axe before, you can be confident that under the expert tuition of our instructors that you will quickly start to hit the targets. All you need to bring along is a steady aim, a keen eye and a dose of concentration.

Minimum age 10 – instructor will gauge suitability

Have a go Archery - £3 for 6 arrows

Unleash your inner Robin Hood and try your hand at our Have a Go Archery. After a short introduction, you’ll head out onto the range with your bow and arrows, then let’s see if you have what it takes to hit the Gold.

Minimum age 5 – instructor will gauge suitability

Due to lack of signal on site, these activities are cash only.

Most of our places run the Gift Aid on Entry scheme at their admission points.

Under this scheme, if you're not a member you have the choice of two entry tickets:

  • Gift Aid Admission
  • Standard Admission

If the place runs Gift Aid on Entry, we'll offer you a clear choice between the Gift Aid Admission prices and the Standard Admission prices at the admission point. It's entirely up to you which ticket you choose.

Gift Aid Admission includes a 10 per cent or more voluntary donation. Gift Aid Admissions let us reclaim tax on the whole amount paid - an extra 25 per cent - potentially a very significant boost to our places' funds.

An extra £1 paid under the scheme can be worth over £3 to the National Trust as shown below:
