Great news, we’ve got some fun ideas to give your day a real boost. Whatever the weather, get ready for exciting and 'spine-tingling' challenges to get young adventurers out and about this year. Here's some of our favourite 50 things to do before you're 11 ¾ in Eyam. Grab your challenge scrapbook from the shop before you get stuck in.

No. 6 Run around in the rain

Come rain or shine there’s always another challenge you can tick off your list. Grab your rain coat and wellies and start splashing. Don’t forget the biggest puddles are best.

No. 7 Fly a kite

Breezy days are made for kite flying. There’s plenty of open space on the fields for you to really put your kite stunt skills to the test and see how high it soars.

No. 10 Play conkers

Near the picnic tables grows a huge horse chestnut tree full of conkers. Hunt around the ground for the perfect ones to become your conker warriors. Let the battle begin!

No. 12 Make a trail with sticks

The key to this challenge is lots of sticks! Straight or knobbly lay them on the ground in the shape of an arrow and see if your friends and family can follow. Can you lead them all the way around the garden?

No. 28 Climb a huge hill

There’s nothing better than beating everyone to the top of a huge hill. Eyam has some fantastic hills and slopes to tackle, but will you be king of the castle or the dirty rascal? Find your way to a hill with a ‘Thought Walk’ leaflet from the shop.

No. 31 Hunt for bugs

Our creepiest crawlies really are snug as bugs in our luxury five star critter hotel. Here’s the perfect place to start your hunt for all kinds of weird and wonderful creatures that live in the garden.

No. 44 Go bird watching

Have you ever spotted a buzzard gliding in the sky or heard a blackbird sing from the trees? Take a walk around the village or visit the garden to discover all kinds of birds. Don’t forget to keep your eyes peeled and ears open.

No. 45 Find your way with a map and compass

Borrow an Eyam Explorer bag from our National trust shop and explore the village. It's complete with an oreinteering map of the village and a compass.  Eyam village is a great place to explore with winding trails and rolling hills, and its exciting way to get the whole family involved.
