Volunteers at Eyam Hall

We have a friendly community of volunteers who all help to make sure every visitor has a wonderful day out. Whether you are interested in sharing stories as a guide in the Hall, welcoming our visitors in the shop or helping people explore the village and surrounding area, there really is something for everyone.

What's in it for you?

  • Being part of the National Trust, and supporting our cause
  • Be part of a dedicated team achieving great things
  • Meet new people that share common interests
  • Learn new skills and share them with others
  • Explore and enjoy the great outdoors

The process

Contact us on 01433 639565, or email us here to find out about all the opportunities we have available.

We can then arrange for you to come in for an informal interview to find out more and see if volunteering at Eyam Hall is for you. Together, we can discuss the different roles and see what suits you.

What our volunteers say

'I enjoy meeting new people and sharing stories. A favourite comment I hear from visitors is how the Hall feels like a warm family home still. For me volunteering at Eyam Hall is a fun day out.' Claire

'I live in Eyam and love to share its history with visitors and welcome them to the village. There are always exciting things happening and I enjoy being part of the team.' Catherine

'Volunteering as a walk leader has allowed me to share with people the things I love. I enjoy helping visitors to explore the countryside and discover the unique local history of the village.' David

'As a garden volunteer, working in such a beautiful space is ideal. I enjoy tasks that allow me to be hands on, particularly hand shearing the hedges. Seeing my finished work always makes me proud.' Trevor
