An Res Hellys 10 Mile Run
Carn Runners' annual 10 mile run returns to Helston and the Penrose estate on Sunday 25 March 2018.
Starting in the market town of Helston, the An Res Hellys Run enters the National Trust Penrose estate to enjoy shady woodland before the landscape opens up onto the view of Penrose Stables and Walled Garden. Passing Green Gym apparatus, the run continues on well-surfaced tracks until the sands of Loe Bar which separates Loe Pool from the sea. Rising up from the beach, runners soon reach the footpath following the edge of RAF Culdrose before returning to Helston.
The National Trust Penrose team will be available on the day near the start/ finish, for anyone who wants to ask questions about the Penrose estate or find out about membership.
See the links below for details on how to enter the run, support Penrose through fundraising or book a group stay in Penrose's bunk house.
Through the National Trust JustGiving page, you can select 'Fundraise for us', create a login and select An Res Hellys as your event. Any funds you raise through the page will come back to the National Trust's work to look after Penrose. With recent land slides on the estate, there is plenty of work that needs funding to replace sections of the South West Coast Path and restore access. Thank you!
