Things to do after Christmas in Yorkshire

A family walk through Studley Royal Deer Park

Don't let your Christmas plans run out on Boxing Day this year. There's lots of winter walks to follow and places to explore on cold winter days. Many places are open right throughout the holidays from Boxing Day into the New Year, with something different to see and do at each. So clear away the cobwebs and treat yourself to a day out in Yorkshire.

Start a new family tradition over the holidays with a festive day out to Fountains Abbey or Nostell. At Fountains you can see the abbey aglow with coloured light, whilst at Nostell there's plenty of paths and routes to follow for a bracing winter walk.  The views from Brimham Rocks on a frosty day make it the perfect place to explore and spend time with the family. And if you're getting fed up with working your way through the left over turkey, come and treat yourself to a tasty home-cooked meal in one of our tea-rooms.
