Old aerial Luftwaffe photos show that Lyveden New Bield, in Northamptonshire, once had a labyrinth.

The labyrinth no longer exists, but the pattern has been cut into the grass so you can still explore the puzzle with your family.

Visit during summer and you'll see beautiful wildflowers growing up around the path, making it a great place for hide and seek or, one of our 50 Things to do before you’re 11 ¾, a barefoot walk.

Just outside Cambridgeshire, you'll find Lyveden, a remarkable survivor of the Elizabethan age. Virtually unaltered since work stopped on its creation in 1605.
