Our chefs prepare a variety of delicious, warming seasonal dishes using local produce. We offer a tasty treat for any time of day; weekend breakfast baps, soups, main meals, sandwiches and salads – not to mention cakes. 

Coffee Shop or Café?

The Coffee Shop, situated near the main entrance, offers freshly made sandwiches, hot light lunches and sweet treats. Everything is served in takeaway containers to either enjoy in the coffee shop or be taken into the grounds, where you can find a special spot to relax and enjoy the view. 

In the Café you'll find our full menu, with a variety of dishes, including our unique dishes reflecting the spirit of Polesden Lacey. We also have a range of delectable cakes and classic cream teas. The Granary Café is the larger of our two cafés with both indoor and covered outdoor seating and dishes served on crockery.

Weekend breakfasts

At weekends, the Coffee Shop opens at 9am, so you can enjoy a light breakfast before the grounds open at 10am.

Kids’ meals

We cater for all the family to make your visit as easy as possible. Choose from our children's pick-and-mix lunch boxes or enjoy a child-size main course from the menu. 

Afternoon tea

Mrs Greville was a big fan of afternoon tea which was always served promptly at 5pm. Our pastry chefs keep her tradition alive with a mouth-watering selection of cream teas, cakes, flapjacks and more. Available throughout the day.

Local produce

We always use seasonal, local produce in our dishes, and you can’t get much more local than our own gardens and estate. We have a volunteer-run vegetable garden within the formal gardens that produces many of the vegetables we use. 

We also work with our tenant farmers to bring you the best of their produce. All the meat we use is supplied by F Conisbee and Son, and we sell gelato by Grey’s Dairy, based at Goldstone Farm.
