Eskdale Campsite campervans and motorhomes

Here, you’ll mingle amongst the tent pitches in the field along the drive up to reception or the field beyond. When choosing your pitch, you’ll just need to let us know if you want a pitch with or without electric hook-up. We run a flexible pitch system so your exact location will be shown to you on arrival. Please note than in very wet weather you may be directed to hard standing pitches.

Maximum size of vehicle

Due to the narrow approach and size of our pitches, we cannot accept campervans or motorhomes which are more than 7m in length. Please contact the site staff or booking office if your van is close to this limit.

Elsan facility

There’s an Elsan facility available at Eskdale located within the facility block at the centre of the site. We do not have a drive over grey waste.

Awnings

Please note that not all pitches have enough space for an awning. Please enquire when booking.

Travelling to Eskdale – steep road warning

Whether travelling by car or campervan, we strongly recommend that you do not use your Sat Nav to navigate to Eskdale. You could risk accidentally heading over Hardknott Pass, which is England’s steepest road with a gradient of 1 in 3. This pass is NOT suitable for trailers or motorhomes. In winter it can be treacherous with ice and snow.

Please arrive at the campsite before 7pm except by prior arrangement.

Campervan prices

Please enter your requirements into the 'Enquire and book' box - link below. Pitch prices are per night and include 1 van and 1 adult.

Campervan pitch sizes (maximum of 4 adults in a group)

• Small – up to 6m long and no awning
• Medium – all vans with awnings and vans over 6m long
• Large – campers with vans over 7m long must contact the booking office prior to booking

If you would like to have a gazebo, mess tent or pup tent alongside your tent, please mention it in the ‘specific requirements’ section when making your booking online. Staff will accommodate your wishes or call you if needed, the balance can be paid on arrival.
