What do we do
Our members, many of whom volunteer at the property, meet in the ‘off season’ between November and March each year for a Speaker Meeting and have a January Social. They often help the staff at events run by the property, and join in with the fundraising activities.
Some of our projects
We have funded equipment in the children's playground, helped with the cost of a new gown for the costumed interpreters, contributed towards the Great Barn Information Board, provided many items for the gardens and recently bought a new Father Christmas’s outfit and contributed towards a new stair carpet in the hall.
Socially we enjoy monthly talks through the winter on a variety of subjects for our membership; these are held usually on Saturday afternoons in The Bungalow, Airedale Barn or Tea Room at the hall (depending on availability). During the property’s closed season the ‘Speaker Meetings’ enable members to catch up over tea/coffee and biscuits and to maintain their interest in the property.
