Help keep Snowdonia beautiful

Ranger working on a footpath in Snowdonia

Donations to the Snowdonia Appeal supports the work that our rangers do all over the region, from path creation and dry stone walling to bridge building and invasive species control.

We look after 12% of the Snowdonia National Park including 11 of the highest and most popular peaks, which as you can imagine is no mean feat.

Keeping a balance

We are striving to maintain a delicate balance between the need to preserve and protect wildlife habitats, and the need to promote and improve public access - so all can enjoy its beauty.

Where we work

We are responsible for delivering a range of conservation, land management and access management projects in Snowdonia. The team focuses mainly on access and we'll be prioritising most of our work in Eifionydd, the Carneddau and the Glyderau.

What we do

From footpath maintenance, bridge building, controlling invasive species and dry-stone walling, our work is diverse and requires a dedicated team of Snowdonia Appeal Rangers who battle extreme weather and high altitudes to get the essential work done.

" Our work is entirely dependent on donations made to the appeal"
- Rhys Thomas, Lead Ranger
