Marsden Moor heritage walk, West Yorkshire
Marsden Moor, a National Trust place in West Yorkshire, offers superb walks for those hoping to spot wildlife.
A circular eight-mile walk on Marsden Moor which takes you across open moorland, where the weather can change very quickly. Wear sturdy walking boots and warm clothing and waterproofs for this four and a half hour walk.
Marsden is host to an array of moorland species such as curlew, grouse, golden plover, dunlin, merlin, short-eared owl and even the rare twite. You mat also spot rabbits, weasels and if you're particularly sharp-eyed, shrews and voles.
