Wasdale, Eskdale and Duddon, Cumbria

Walkers at Wasdale, Cumbria, with the vast expanse of Wastwater in the distance

This area of the Lake District is home to England’s highest mountain, Scarfell, and its deepest lake, Wastwater.

It offers both flat lakeside jogs and challenging fell runs.
On a calm day Wastwater lake is like a mirror, reflecting the surrounding mountains, but weather in the Lakes is very variable so please make sure you come with the right kit.
