Our campsite at Wasdale is located in a spectacular setting at the foot of England's highest mountains and a stone's throw from Wastwater, England's deepest lake.

Shop and reception

There is an on-site shop where you can buy all of the basics you’ll need during your stay. We stock a limited amount of local produce and also sell hot drinks.

There is a local information point at reception and our staff will be happy to answer questions and provide any additional information you need about the campsite and local area.

Autumn/Winter opening times

The shop/ reception is open daily but hours will vary (please check the site noticeboard). In absence of a staff member, pre-booked campers will be able to pick up an envelope containing site information.

Toilet and shower block

The shower and toilet block is located in the centre of the campsite and contains disabled facilities.

Use of the showers is included in your pitch fee.

Washing-up areas

Pot washing facilities are available at the toilet and shower block with plenty of hot water on tap.

Please give the washing-up station a quick wipe down after you've finished, so it's nice and clean for the next person to use.

Laundry

If you're staying with us for a few days, you might want to take advantage of our on-site laundry room.

Washing and drying machines are available.

Electric hook-up to tents

There are four pitches with electric hook-ups available on the campsite.

Please be considerate to your neighbours and use no 'audibles' on the hook-ups - we are a quiet site.

Western Lakes Electric Bike Network

Wasdale campsite is now a charge point on the electric bike network.
