Waterclose Meadows campsite facilities
We are looking forward to welcoming our campers back to Waterclose Meadows. When we re-open business might not quite be back to normal. It’s unlikely that not all of our usual services and activities will be available. Please read this page carefully before you visit and we’ll keep you regularly updated on any changes.
As always, our friendly team will be on site or nearby ready to welcome you while our reception remains closed. We’ll have your arrival details ready for you outside the campsite reception.
It’s important that you arrive between 1pm and 8pm only, and that you pitch in the marked area on your welcome map to make sure we can safely space out campers across the site. If you are staying in a camping pod, please take a look at separate check-in times below.
You’ll find a rear-view mirror hanger in your welcome pack. This will clearly show us that you’re staying on the campsite and make it easy for you to get in and out of the site during your stay with us.
Late arrivals after 5pm
If you haven’t already, please let us know if you’ll be arriving after 5pm and before 8 pm so we can make sure that you have the correct entrance code to enter the property gate and have your pitching information prepared ready for you to collect outside our reception. If you find your going to arrive late unexpectedly, please contact us on the out of hours mobile 07483 300944 after 5pm.
Arrival from 3pm

There will be limited access in some areas to help us carry out our enhanced cleaning regime, for the safety of our guests, staff and volunteers:
While additional cleaning is carried out throughout the day, we kindly ask that guests are supportive and patient.
To support social distancing we continually review our overall occupancy and review our availability and have suggested that all our touring pitch bookings support their stay with their own facilities to further support social distancing as peak times.
We ask that face coverings are worn whenever possible while using the shared indoor facilities.
The main toilets and showers will be closed for cleaning, from 10.30am – 12pm. We ask that no showers are taken in the family and accessible room while the main toilets are closed. You’ll find our family room toilet is open and cafe toilets will be open when cleaning is in progress.
There will also be restricted shower use from 5.30pm – 7.30am.
Please note, baby changing is now only available in the family and accessible room, located at the front of the block.
Our hair dryers will also not be available at this time and ask that you don’t use your own in the shared areas to support social distancing.
Chemical waste facilities
You can find our chemical waste facility for tourers, caravans and campervans at the back of the toilet block.
Motorhome disposal point
There is a drive-in area for motorhomes to deposit waste water in front of the main water point to the right of the facilities block.
Laundry and drying facilities
You can find our washing and drying areas behind the facility block and a small freezer for freezer blocks.
To help keep your pots and pans sparkling we have a semi-enclosed pot washing area in the facility block.

And you’ll now find there is more green open space for you to enjoy next to the campsite and you can get to the river at different access spots nearby if needed.
Unfortunately, we are unable to allow day guests on site at this time.
While our reception remains closed, we’re unable to take incoming calls. If you have any outstanding payments, one of the team will call before arrival or during your stay to settle this payment.
