Welcome to your new website

You’ll notice a few changes to your National Trust website and we hope you like them.

We know that more than half of you now want to use the website on smartphone or tablet, so we’ve revamped the design to help you do that more easily.

We hope you’ll agree it’s a more contemporary design, with bigger, more powerful images that allow the spirit of our places to shine through.

The site is now easy to use on all devices, whether you want to find a place to visit, join as a member or find out more about what we do.

Just browse the main section headings and scroll down to start exploring content you’re interested in, or use the searches to find places and events near you.

This update also gives us a chance to lay foundations for the future. Soon the website will be able to show you places nearby, based on your current location, whether you’re at home or on holiday. It’ll also show you more content that is relevant to you and your interests, with something new to discover on every visit.

And it will start to bring you more of the stories that make Trust places so special.

'This is something we’ve long wanted to do,' said Dame Helen Ghosh, National Trust director-general. 'We’re really looking forward to sharing our places with you online in a clearer and simpler way, whether you’re using a mobile, a tablet or a laptop.'

'Along with our new mobile app, it’s just the next step in a move to help us become more useful to members, visitors, supporters – anyone who’s interested in our places and what we do.'
