Every year we restore and bring new life to holiday cottages, bothies, bunkhouses and campsites across England, Wales and Northern Ireland for you to enjoy on a National Trust holiday. Here you'll find our new places, as well as existing holiday cottages which have been recently refurbished.

New cottages

The Weir Garden Cottage, Herefordshire 

This friendly-looking building brings together a cottage and former dairy, and will soon be a comfortable, modern holiday cottage with accessible rooms on the ground floor. As well as all-hours access to the Weir Garden, you’ll have your own private garden created by the head gardener. Sleeps ten.

St Mark's Bothy, Brownsea Island, Dorset 

This stone building began life as a dovecot in the 1800s, and will soon be a rustic, beachside bothy with simple facilities. It has a path to the beach from an enclosed garden, and is surrounded by wildlife and views of the Purbeck Hills. Sleeps four.

Recent cottage transformations

Many holiday cottages have been recently refurbished, making them even more cosy and comfortable for your stay. You'll find bright, modern kitchens and bathrooms, lovely colours, wallpapers and linens, and soft sofas for evenings by a roaring woodburner. We've preserved and given new life to original and historical features, helping to tell each building's special story.

The lighthouse keeper and his family would have lived in this sea-view cottage, which stands at the landward end of the Souter Lighthouse, built in 1871 to ward ships from the dangerous rocks at Whitburn Steel. Sleeps four.

This distinctive Robin Hood’s Bay red-roofed cottage is perched on top of the sea wall at the edge of the beach, for uninterrupted views of the sea. Sleeps two.

This large, inviting house with its former hop kilns and barns, is surrounded by countryside on the Brockhampton Estate. Sleeps 10.

Part of a large country manor house with lovely grounds and views of the Helford River, Bosveal is a great place to gather. Sleeps 10.
