New places to stay
Every year we restore and bring new life to holiday cottages, bothies, bunkhouses and campsites across England, Wales and Northern Ireland for you to enjoy on a National Trust holiday. Here you'll find our new places, as well as existing holiday cottages which have been recently refurbished.
New cottages
The Weir Garden Cottage, Herefordshire
This friendly-looking building brings together a cottage and former dairy. It is a comfortable, modern holiday cottage with accessible rooms on the ground floor and original features throughout. As well as all-hours access to the Weir Garden, you’ll have your own private garden created by the head gardener. Sleeps ten.
St Mark's Bothy, Brownsea Island, Dorset
This stone building began life as a dovecot in the 1800s, and will soon be a rustic, beachside bothy with simple facilities. It has a path to the beach from an enclosed garden, and is surrounded by wildlife and views of the Purbeck Hills. Sleeps four.
Recent cottage transformations
Many holiday cottages have been recently refurbished, making them even more cosy and comfortable for your stay. You'll find bright, modern kitchens and bathrooms, lovely colours, wallpapers and linens, and soft sofas for evenings by a roaring woodburner. We've preserved and given new life to original and historical features, helping to tell each building's special story.
Kedleston Park House, Derbyshire
This 19th-century, brick house is in an idyllic position on the edge of Kedleston Park. It has fresh, colourful interiors and a large garden with views across the parkland. Sleeps six.
Abbey Stores, Yorkshire
This 18th-century stone cottage is full of original features, and has its own key to Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal Water Garden. Sleeps two.
Malt House, Cornwall
Malt House has its own turret, home to a snug room for reading and relaxing. The Tamar River meanders by, so you can bring your own canoe or kayak. Sleeps six.
Newark Lower Lodge, Gloucestershire
Latticed arched windows and an ivy-clad doorway lend a pretty feel to this lodge. Sleeps six.
Bog Cottage, Oxfordshire
You'll overlook lush green plants and the stream in Upton House's bog garden when you stay at Bog Cottage. The terraced gardens, orchard, mirror pool and woodland walk are all on your doorstep. Sleeps four.
Pant Rhiw Cottage, Gwynedd
There are views across Hell's Mouth Bay from Pant Rhiw Cottage, an area famous for coastal walking routes. Sleeps four.

Cothele Quay Lodge Cottage, Cornwall
Cotehele Quay Lodge Cottage is full of quirks and original features, and looks down to the Tamar River at the heart of the Cotehele estate. Sleeps two.
Brownsham Bothy, Devon
This simple, stone building offers an open-plan space for relaxing and sleeping, close to the South West Coast Path. Sleeps four.
Hempfield Stables, Cheshire
Converted stables in a walled garden near Dunham Massey’s walks and historic attractions, with rustic features, modern luxuries and lots of outdoor space. Sleeps four.
Heron View, Exmoor
This cosy, village apartment is next to a scenic bridge and ford where the Oare and Badgworthy waters meet. Sleeps four.
Village Farmhouse, Cheshire
A farmhouse made for gathering together, in the heart of a lovely Cheshire village and a short walk from Dunham Massey’s Georgian house, gardens and deer park. Sleeps 12.

Hop Kiln Mews, Herefordshire
Eighteenth-century hop kilns are part of the fabric of this quirky apartment, joining Hop Kiln Farmhouse, Kiln Barn and Hop Kiln Cart Barn on the Brockhampton estate. Sleeps two.
Gorsey Bank Barn, Derbyshire
A converted barn with a fresh, bright interior, views towards Eyam Moor and walks from the doorstep. There’s even an owl box with a camera livestream. Sleeps six.
