Gibside, Tyne and Wear
Gibside is an elegant landscape garden peppered with architectural delights and picturesque picnic spots. There are over 15 miles of footpaths to explore and views of the Derwent Valley to discover.
The Mongolian yurts at Cut Thorn Farm provide the perfect combination of back-to-nature living without compromising on comfort. There are futon-style beds, cooking facilities, wood burning stoves, solar lighting and even solar-powered phone chargers.

While staying at the yurts, you’re a short stroll away from Gibside, so perhaps on a Friday and Saturday there may be time to venture to Gibside Pub for some real ale and stone-baked pizza.
There are also family camping weekends at Gibside in May and August.
Lake District, Cumbria
The Lake District is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle and immerse yourself in nature. With spectacular scenery to explore on foot, by bike or in the saddle it offers an unmissable outdoors experience.
Wasdale Campsite in the remote western valleys have two Nordic tipis whilst Low Wray Campsite by the shore of Windermere boasts two fully-equipped Safari tents. They all have wood burning stoves to make them extra cosy.

Another glamping option at our Low Wray campsite is the camping hammocks. All four of our Lake District campsites have tent pitches and space for campervans.
