Christmas at Fenton House

View of Fenton House from the South West Terrace

Come home to Christmas at Fenton House this winter. We’ll be celebrating in historic style this December, decorating rooms as they would have been over its long history. Take the chance to stop for a moment among past traditions, from Georgian candlelight and natural greenery to 1970s kitsch.

Come home to Christmas

Soak up some seasonal charm and see how the staff and volunteers at Fenton House have decorated and dressed this Hampstead hidden gem with great care, room by room. The house’s extensive collections of paintings, porcelain, needlework and furniture all add to the festive picture of home.

The early keyboard instruments also play their part, coming to life throughout the house as they are tuned and played. So come along and sip mulled wine or warming spiced apple juice, before trying out the children’s art activities and trails with your family.

Christmas in Hampstead

After visiting Fenton House, why not explore surrounding Hampstead, with its vibrant, independent shops, restaurants, cafes and galleries?

Trampling across Hampstead Heath is a yearly tradition for many, as is warming up afterwards with a drink by a roaring fire in one of Hampstead’s many traditional pubs, such as Fenton’s near-neighbour The Hollybush. If a muddy walk isn’t your thing, then you can take a scenic stroll through the romantic, atmospheric lanes of Hampstead village.
