Top tips for an enjoyable dog-friendly visit:
Please keep your dogs under control: Respect other dog-walkers by keeping our four-legged friends under control at all times. Visiting the gardens? All dogs MUST be kept on a short-lead when enjoying the gardens for conservation reasons. There are a number of notices dotted around the gardens to remind you to do so!
Watch out for wildlife: Our parkland is home to a variety of livestock and the estate is home to lots of wildlife. In areas where there is lots of wildlife we ask you to keep your dog on a lead so that they feel safe.
Look out for local notices and instructions: There may be restrictions on the estate and around the woodland or farmland at certain times of the season as our ranger team may be carrying our essential outdoor work with machinery that be be both dangerous to dogs and their humans!
Keep them cool: Dogs can dangerously overheat if left in cars. We don’t recommend this, so please ensure your dog is well hydrated also.
Forgotten the essentials? Please remember to clean-up after your dog and respect other dog-walkers by doing so! We have a number of dog waste bins around the estate, so please use these and remember to pickup your dog waste and keep our parkland clean and safe for others to enjoy. We also have dog waste bags located at these points for you to use.
