The dynamic geography and archaeology of the Formby coast
Learn about the archaeology and history of the Formby coastline on a two hour walk around site examining the prehistoric footprints on the foreshore and the reasons for their exposure.
This walk is for A-level and University students exclusively as the material is of a higher level and cannot be adapted for groups below A-level. This is a guided walk which will involve working in pairs with a maximum of ten pairs. Learning resources will be provided for you by Dr Burns.
This activity is only available on specific days, listed on the booking page; with two sessions each day – one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Booking is essential if you wish to have a place on this walk. There is a maximum capacity of twenty students.
This event is led by Dr Alison Burns , it is dependent on her leading the walk so if she should be unavailable on the day of the event it will have to be cancelled and you will receive a full refund.
