Getting out and about

Aerial view of Fowey

There are some great walks around Fowey, with dramatic stretches of the South West Coast Path weaving through woodlands and around creeks. There's a quick walk around Covington woods, or if you've got more time then try Hall walk which takes you around both sides of the estuary. Or take in panoramic views from the Gribbin.

Geocaching is a great way to combine technology with a good old fashioned treasure hunt. We've hidden caches all around, so all you need is a GPS device or a smart phone to get started. Every time you find the treasure trove, choose something from the stash and leave something else for the next person.
Register on the geocaching website and then record each find.

50 Things to do before you're 11¾

Grab a 50 things to do before you're11¾ book and get going on your very own adventure. This summer we've been canoeing down the river, looking out for the flash of a kingfisher and we've been cooking up some delicious grub on the campfire.

Local tides and weather

It's always good to know what the tide and weather are doing when you are by the coast. Our local NCI weather station at Polruan is great for checking wind conditions too.
