Recycling facilities and the environment
We strongly believe in looking after this beautiful landscape and causing minimal impact and we hope our guests share our ethos and adopt these practices during their stay with us.
To ensure we are operating as sustainably as possible the National Trust has invested in green energy and adopted a sustainable business practice throughout the campsite and accommodation.
Solar panels: We have installed solar panels on the toilet and shower block building that heat the water.
Ground source heat pump: Installed to provide heating for the farmhouse and reception building.
Reed bed filtration system: Our waste water is treated and then filtered through a natural reed bed back into the water course. We work closely with Natural Resources Wales to ensure water is the highest quality minimising pollution. Please note we cannot dispose of chemical waste and encourage motorhome/campervan owners to make use of our new toilet and shower block during their stay.
Water: Water is extracted from a natural bore-hole and treated with a UV filtration system making the water at Gupton Farm high in minerals.
Cleaning: We only use eco-friendly cleaning products at Gupton Farm.
Recycling is important to us and that’s why you’ll find colour coded bins around the campsite for glass, recyclables and general waste.
