Can you help to roll out the red carpet?

The hand of a volunteer usher opening a roped-off area

This December at Greenway we'll be rolling out the carpet for a vintage pop-up cinema. On December weekends and between Christmas and New Year, vintage Christie films will be screened inside a cosy marquee in the Walled Garden of Agatha Christie's holiday home. Father Christmas will also be stopping by, meeting Children on his 1950s vintage bus. Volunteers are needed to bring these special events to life - can you help?

Volunteering at the pop-up cinema

Greenway's vintage pop up cinema aims to transport visitors back to the golden age of film. Cinema ushers will be providing a warm and authentic welcome, punching tickets and showing people to their seats in the heated marquee fitted with twinkly lighting, red velvet cinema seats and plush VIP Chesterfield sofas.

As a volunteer cinema usher, you could be a pioneer in this new Christmas event. You'll be provided with vintage-style usher uniform (please provide black trousers and white shirt), and have the option of watching the film if you'd like to.

Volunteering to help Father Christmas

Father Christmas will be parking up at Greenway on his retro 1950s bus to greet children and share out presents on Saturdays 2, 9 and 16 December. Friendly helpers are needed to help with the smooth running of his grotto (on the bus), and to ensure that every child leaves with a smile on their face. Can you help Father Christmas by handing out the right presents? A vintage costume will be provided for all helpers.
