Conservation in action

Over the summer there are a couple of conservation projects taking place, helping to ensure that we can care for Greenway for ever, for everyone. Find out about the projects, and the work you can see in action when you visit.

Repairing the Dining Room carpet

From Monday 13 August, the Dining Room is going to look a bit different, as the table is packed away and sleeves are rolled up while conservation work is carried out on the carpet. You'll be able to visit the Dining Room to see the work in action and find out about what is being done, but access to the room will be restricted at times.

Conserving Agatha's piano

This summer, conservation work is being carried out on Agatha's Steinway piano. You'll still be able to see the piano in the Drawing Room while the work is carried out. It should be back in one piece by mid-September, in time for the anniversary of Agatha's birthday.
