Step into spring walks
There's a brand new walking team in the English Riviera, and they're bringing a bunch of free guided walks around Greenway and Coleton Fishacre this spring.
Free guided spring walks near Coleton Fishacre and Greenway
Being active in the outdoors in something we're passionate about, so we've created a walking team to lead free guided walks around Coleton Fisahcre and Greenway this spring.

Walks in March
Accessible walk to the Day Mark at Brownstone (near Coleton Fishacre), Sunday 15 March, 11am-1pm
This is an accessible walk for those who are new to walking or with accessibility needs. It’s on a wheelchair friendly route from Brownstone car park to the Day Mark, and is approx. 1.5km long. For those who would like a longer walk, there’s a point where you can leave the group and join the South West Coast Path.
Walk to Man Sands beach (near Coleton Fishacre), Sunday 22 March, 11am-1pm
Join the walking team on a free guided walk to Man Sands beach, taking in the wetlands and learning about the marshland project that took place over the winter. The walk does take place on country lanes which are uneven and rugged. We would recommend wearing waterproof footwear like wellies as the walk crosses over a stream on the beach.
Circular walk at Coleton Camp (near Coleton Fishacre), Sunday 29 March, 11am-1pm
This circular walk around Coleton Camp takes in sea views, wildlife and nature. It’s approx. 3.5km long and takes place on rugged coast paths with steep inclines.
Walks in April
Walk around Greenway, Sunday 5 April, 11am-1pm
This peaceful guided walk is around the garden at Greenway, taking in the Boathouse and battery. It’s around 2.5km long and does have some steep paths. Please meet at the main visitor car park at Greenway for the start of the walk.
Walk around Greenway estate, Sunday 12 April, 11am-1pm
This walk leads from Greenway and out onto the wider estate, taking in stretching rivers views, quiet country lanes and woodlands. It’s around 3km long and we recommend waterproof footwear as the paths lead along the beach.
Walk at Noss Marina (Greenway), Sunday 19 April, 11am-1pm
Join the walking team on a free guided walk at Noss Marina near Greenway. The walk takes in the marina with river views and Longwood plantation, a woodland carpeted with bluebells in the spring. It’s around 4.5km long walk and is accessible but does have some ascents and takes in some riverside paths which cross streams, so waterproof footwear is essential. Please meet at Noss Marina car park for the start of the walk (first car park on the left).
Walk from Brownstone to Coleton Fishacre, Sunday 26 April, 11am-1pm
This circular walk starts at Brownstone car park and leads to Froward Point taking in the historic gun battery, the along the coastal path to Coleton Fishacre garden. It’s around 5km long, and is a challenging one with uneven ground, narrow coast paths and steep inclines/declines.
Please note that well behaved dogs on leads are very welcome on the walks, but there is a possibility of livestock nearby. There are no facilities on these walks. Walks starting from Greenway - please note that Greenway operates a pre-booked car parking system. If you are visiting by car, please book your space online or by calling 01803 842382.

The car park and garden and toilets at Greenway will reopen from Monday 22 June. You’ll need to book tickets online or by calling 0344 249 1895 by 3pm the day before your visit.
