It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Gunby
Join us from 24 November to 9 December for Gunby's annual Christmas openings. This year's theme is 'A Musical Christmas', so you're in for a festive treat for your eyes as well as your ears.
Bring your friends and family to get into the Christmas spirit as Gunby celebrates 'A Musical Christmas'.
Enjoy seeing the house sparkle with decorations, sing along to the festive music and tuck into a lovely mince pie in the tea-room.
The house will be open from 1pm to 5.30pm during our Christmas openings. Normal admission charges apply, free for National Trust members and under 5s.
Mildred Mousingberd is visiting Gunby for Christmas. She's organising a big party in the dining room for her family and friends who are all hiding in the house. Mildred would love your help to find all the other mice so they can join the party. Pick up a trail sheet from the side door (£1 per sheet) and start your search. Why not buy your own Mousingberd Mouse as a souvenir from the craft stall in the basement?
Carol Service with the Gunby Singers
On Saturday 8 December at 3:30pm, get into the Christmas spirit at the annual carol service at St Peter's Church, just outside the Gunby gardens. Gunby's staff and volunteer choir, the Gunby Singers, will perform some carols too during this festive service. People of all faiths and none are most welcome. There are no admission charges for attending the service.
Christmas Concert on 8 December
Join us in the Music Room on 8 December at 7pm for a festive concert called 'The Spirit Reawakened'. Local talented pianists Josh Wilkinson and Jane O'Farrell will play a variety of piano music for two and four hands including classics, standards and jazz, with some songs and seasonal favourites. Enjoy some seasonal refreshments in the interval.
Tickets cost £12.50 and can be booked by ringing 01754 890102 or emailing Astrid.Gatenby@nationaltrust.org.uk
