Gunby garden highlights this spring
Enjoy lots of colour at Gunby this spring as the gardens are coming back to life.
During early spring, don't miss the abundance of daffodils in the orchard near Orchard Gallery, the former squash court nestled in the gardens. Orchard Gallery is open daily for art exhibitions from mid-March until the end of October.
By combining contrasting colours, the garden team have created beautiful bands of colour alongside paths in the walled garden.
Take a seat
As you walk around the spring garden, take a moment to rest in Gunby's blue temple and cherish a moment of peace in spring sunshine.
Meet the team
You may bump into the Gunby resident cats or members of the garden team, who will be busy looking after the garden.
Spring wildflower walk
Take a walk through the meandering spring wildflower walk at the south-side of the house. See if you can spot wood anemonies, snakeshead fritillaria and an abundance of blossom.
Ice house pond
Venture a bit further to Gunby's ice house pond and see what wildlife and flowers you come across. Directions are available from the tea-room or download them from our website.
In late spring enjoy colourful tulips near the Gunby greenhouse. Many will find their way into flower arrangements on display in the house. Have you got a favourite one?
