Perfect Picnic Spots at Hanbury Hall
Be at the heart of the action in the Stableyard. You’re also not far from the car park and close to the children’s play area and our wild play area so you know the kids won’t be bored. So while the children head off to play, you can sit back and enjoy the stunning parkland views.
Make a day of it on our Orangery Lawn; the ideal spot for family picnics with plenty of space for games, kite flying or a barefoot walk. With the bowling green just a stone’s throw away, why not challenge your family to a game? Get ready to work up an appetite before rolling out that picnic blanket to make the most of the sunshine, or if you prefer a little shade just head towards the old trees where you’ll find respite from the heat.
Surround yourself with blossoming flowers and set up for a picnic in our glorious gardens. You’ll find plenty of picnic benches near in the Stableyard. If a traditional picnic blanket is more to your taste, then you’ll find room to spread out in the grassy space to the right of the Hall.
If you prefer a slower pace, head to the Orchard or up to Kytes Orchard to enjoy a lazy picnic. Kytes Orchard is tucked away from the crowds so you can relax and bask in the peace and quiet in your own little hideaway with beautiful park views. The Orchard is a lovely spot to sit under the trees and enjoy the sights and sounds of the summer.
