A Summer's Evening
Thomas Vernon built Hanbury Hall in 1701 as a place to escape from the chaotic eighteenth century world and his working life in London. As a summer residence, Hanbury would have hosted parties for friends and family throughout the season.
Keeping this tradition alive, we’re opening our gates late every Friday throughout July and August; with a series of theatre, cinema and music events all designed to help you while away those lazy summer evenings in the beautiful surrounds of Hanbury’s gardens.
