Making new friends, working in amazing places and knowing that you're helping a great cause - three fabulous reasons to get volunteering.

Volunteer #OffTheGrid

At Hardcastle Crags, we have almost 80 volunteers who are involved across the site by getting stuck in with our practical conservation work, lending a hand in the café, selling raffle tickets, running family activities and sharing stories about the Mill with visitors.

" “I never wake up on Monday morning and think ‘Oh Hardcastle Crags, I don’t fancy that’. I’m always like ‘Ooo Hardcastle Crags!’ Because it’s a complete change and I feel like I’m doing my bit for charity”"
- A happy Hardcastle Crags volunteer

Together our volunteers contribute over 6000 hours of their time annually; an incredible contribution which helps us care for this special site and keep it open for everyone.
