Ranger Experience Days at Hardwick Hall, Derbyshire
21 January 2020 and 13 February 2020
Find out more about the conservation of the historic parkland and estate on an experience day with the Hardwick Rangers. We'll begin the day with a mini-bus tour of the wider estate with lead Ranger Steve where you'll find out more about the areas of Hardwick you may have never seen. From then, get your hands dirty helping the Rangers with important woodland management work to maintain habitats for wildlife. Part of this is thinning out invasive species to allow the native varieties of tree within the Hardwick woods to thrive. After that, take a break and take in the great outdoors with tea, coffee and a slice of cake around the campfire. After this, head off with the team on a woodland management walk, discovering more areas of conservation work the Rangers have been tackling.
Tickets cost £28 per person, the money raised will help us maintain this vital conservation work of this historic landscape.
Please dress appropriate for the weather as you will be outside for most of the day. Walking boots or walking trainers must be worn.
10am - 3.15pm. Please bring your own packed lunch.
Meeting point for the day is the main car park near the visitor welcome reception.
