The Hatchlands Park Dog Show

Dogs on leads with their owner

Join us from 10am until 4pm on Sunday 16 September for the Hatchlands Park Dog Show, a firm favourite in our annual events calendar. Enjoy fun and games with your four legged friend in our friendly competition classes with a variety of dog related stalls and activities.

It’s always wonderful to share a walk and few companions are as grateful for a wander in the great outdoors as our four-legged friends. Hatchlands has long provided a great venue for dog walking but, each September, we like to go a little further and celebrate all things canine.

We open our gates at 10am when you’ll be able to enter your dog in the show at the Secretary’s Tent. Registration for the morning classes (1-6) begins at 10am; you can sign up for the afternoon classes (7-11) during the lunch break.

The day starts with a flyball demonstration courtesy of our friends at Ruff Diamonds Flyball. This high speed sport features two teams of four dogs and their handlers competing in relay-style races against each other and against the clock. You’ll be able to watch the dogs enjoying themselves from shortly after 10am, you'll then be able to get involved yourself and see if your pup has what it takes to race with the pros. There'll be further demonstrations, and chances to try it, during the lunch break and at the end of the day.
