A display of china in the Hatfield Forest shop

The Forest Shop is currently closed but when we're able to safely reopen, you will see that supporting local suppliers is important to us. We stock a wide variety of produce from the area to excite your taste buds and support our local farmers and suppliers. There are also lots of lovely gift items and cards if you are looking for a present.

All profits from the shop go directly back into our conservation work at the Forest.

Honey from local hives

Did you know a spoonful of your local honey can help to clear hay fever? You'll find a jar of delicious local honey in the pantry section of our shop.

Books for everyone

We stock a wide range of books to suit all tastes, from pictorial wildlife guides to help you name that mystery flower, to children’s activity and storybooks.

China

We stock a range of china from the latest National Trust range "Oriental Journey".

Pocket money treats

We have a great selection of things for the kids to spend their pocket money on. Buy a bug pot and go exploring, pick up a book to help you ID your finds, or a plastic spider to scare your friends!

Picnic essentials

Whether to sit upon, or wrap up in, our beautiful blankets and rugs are available in lots of styles and colours.  Some are produced from recycled fibre..

Pop into the shop where we have a range of items to make your picnic perfect.

Second Hand Bookshop

We have a second-hand book stall in the Discovery Room, at the rear of the Shell House.  Pick up a bargain as the books are a bargain at four for £1.  All the money raised supports our conservation work.

Opening times

The shop is open daily during the summer season (Apr to Sep). During the low season (Oct to Mar), the shop operates a more limited schedule, open only from Wed to Sun and for reduced hours.
