WoodFest at Hatfield Forest, 4-6 September 2020 - Cancelled
Enjoy a final festival fling before autumn sets in. Every September, WoodFest brings the heart of Hatfield Forest to life. This popular festival is a 'must do' on many calendars. If this is your first time, then you'll be in for a treat!
What's happening in 2020?
Sadly, we've taken the decision to cancel WoodFest this year as restrictions due to coronavirus mean we are not able to fully plan over the coming months. We'd like to thank you for your continued support. Find out more here.
WoodFest runs from Friday to Sunday, the first weekend in September.
The music programme starts on Friday at 7.00pm, until 11.00pm, continues on Saturday from 12.00 until late, and then on Sunday from 12.00 to 5.00pm.
The stalls will be open from 10.00am on Saturday and Sunday.
As always, there will be plenty to entertain you and your children in the Lake area over the weekend.
The majority of our visitors come for the day but we also offer the opportunity to stay over for the weekend, with camping and caravanning available. This needs to be booked in advance.
Local acts from all over come to play on the 'main stage' and take part in the 'open mic' stage. There's everything from folk and 90's covers to rock, brass and metal. We'll be announcing some of the bands on our Facebook page as the WoodFest weekend approaches.
Arts and Crafts
The lake area bustles with a large variety of stalls to indulge your inner shopper. Whatever your fancy, you'll find something to buy for your home or a loved one. Traditional crafts sit alongside contemporary, original gifts. So, if you want to see how a wooden bowl is turned, or buy a sculpture for your garden, then this is your opportunity.
Food and Drink
As well as our popular Forest Cafe menu, there'll be some other delicious food stalls to keep hunger at bay whilst you're dancing the hours away.
There'll also be several bars, offering a range of real ales and ciders, plus other drinks. The Gin Bar returns, by popular request.
Caravaning and Camping
Complete your festival experience by staying for the weekend in the heart of the forest in your own tent, caravan or campervan.
You will need to book your pitches in advance, on-line or by phone, through the National Trust booking office (0344 2491895). Booking opens in early March 2020.
