Volunteer in West Exmoor

We are always looking for volunteers to help us care for the special landscapes and wildlife of West Exmoor.

Volunteer and help us look after West Exmoor

The West Exmoor National Trust team work hard to care for 4500 acres of varied habitat, including woodland, farmland and coastal heath. With so many exciting projects our rangers always appreciate helping hands.

Our work is incredibly varied and volunteers are vital to helping us carry out important work; from monitoring spectacular wildlife, to public engagment, to practical estates management and more, there is something for everyone.

No skill or previous experience is needed as all training will be provided; just bring some enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. The opportunities are endless - what will you do?

If you do want to join us, our volunteer group meets every Thursday, which is a great place to get to know us. If you have any questions, want more information, or fancy coming along please contact Jack Ward or call the Rangers' office on 01598 763556. You can also register your interest online.

" I really enjoy the work and being part of the team but, most of all, I have loved getting to know this beautiful place I live in better and learning about how the land is used and managed, and the varied habitats it supports."
- Gudrun Limbrick, Volunteer Ranger
