Hidcote during the winter period is a time to experience the foundations of the garden and to marvel at the incredible hard work which goes into maintaining the ten and a half acres of grounds from hedge trimming to bulb planting. It is a time when a wintry walk can provide peace and tranquility when festive celebrations are going full throttle at home and work so wrap up warm and wander along our winter route and enjoy some down time before finishing your visit with a warming hot drink in our cosy Winthrop’s Café.

Activities

Decorate the tree

On Saturday 30 November, Sunday 1, Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 December, we need your help to decorate the tree in the Drawing Room. Each weekend there will be a different Edwardian inspired ornament for you to make and hang on our tree. You could even make two and take one home for your own tree.
