Christmas at Hindhead Commons and the Devil's Punch Bowl

Hindhead Commons and the Devil's Punch Bowl offers you the chance to explore a majestic landscape and pine-clad hilltops with a variety of amazing views across Surrey. This December, help us to celebrate Christmas, with seasonal food, a children's trail, sleigh rides and the chance to harvest your very own Christmas tree.

Throughout December, there's lots happening at Hindhead Commons and the Devil's Punch Bowl. Head over at weekends before Christmas to step into a festive world, with seasonal food and drink, a children's trail, choirs and some of Surrey's most beautiful landscapes to admire and walk in.

Here's a taster of what's happening when:

Festive children's trail

17 and 18 December, 10am-2pm 

Collect the trail from Mrs Santa's cabin

£3 per trail, suitable for all ages (includes a small prize)

Trail will also run 19-22 December (10am-2pm) from café (sorry Mrs Santa can't be here as she's busy preparing for Christmas on these days)

Christmas sleigh rides

17 and 18 December, 10-2pm 

Delightful donkey-drawn sleigh over some of the prettiest Surrey scenery

£3 per person, suitable for all ages


17 and 18 December, between 11am and 12.30pm, enjoy festive music with a local choir

Harvest your own Christmas tree

3, 10, 11 December, 10-2pm

Bring along a saw and pair of stout gloves to harvest your own tree from Hindhead Commons

£15 per tree (up-to and including 6ft, £20 above 6ft)

Wreath Making (Witley Centre)

Sunday 4th December 11am - 3pm, join us at the Witley Centre to make a festive wreath. Booking essential on 01372 220644 - £36 to include soup and roll for lunch

Throughout December 9-4pm (hot meals served 12 - 2.30pm)
