Easter Egg Hunts at Hindhead Commons and The Devil's Punch Bowl

A young visitor completing a National Trust Easter trail

Join us for an Easter adventure in nature at Hindhead and The Devil’s Punch Bowl. Discover how the plants and animals burst into life during the springtime on our family-friendly trail and enjoy the beautiful views along the way. Complete the trail and earn your chocolate egg at the end.

Easter adventures in nature

Our trail takes place from Saturday 9 to Monday 18 April between 10 am and 3pm with last entry being 2 pm. The cost is £3 per trail and includes a trail map, pencil and a chocolate egg at the end.

At the start of your Easter adventures in nature trail, pick up your activity pack to find the bespoke trail you’re going to follow. Find and complete the 10 nature-inspired activities that are hiding along the way; you can pretend to be a bug emerging into the heathland, or build a build a minibeast a home, or just watch the clouds drift by, and then collect your Rainforest Alliance chocolate egg  at the end.

Practical Information

Pick up your trail guide at the Shepherd’s Hut at the far end of the car park. Follow the trail on your adventure along the all-weather circular path and return to the Shepherd’s Hut at the end to collect your Rainforest Alliance chocolate egg.

Hindhead is a large open countryside site. The trail is 2.5 miles long and takes on average 1.5hr to walk. The trail is suitable for buggies and wheelchairs but it’s bumpy and uneven in parts and could be muddy.

Dogs are welcome to enjoy the trail with you.

The toilets, baby changing facilities and the café, which serves a variety of hold and cold drinks and snacks, can be found by the car park.
