About Butter Hill Barn
A rustic barn conversion complete with a log-burner, perfect for unwinding after hiking Exmoor National Park.Butter Hill Barn offers simple, but comfortable, accommodation for up to six guests on the dramatic North Devon coast. Located a stone’s throw from the South West Coastal Path, the barn is ideally placed for exploring North Devon.
For a pleasant walk follow the River Lyn along the stunning East Lyn Valley. At the end of your stroll, stop in at the Watersmeet Tea Rooms for a cup of tea and a slice of homemade cake.
Nearby, Lynton and Lynmouth offer some great local attractions, including the famous cliff railway. And with the Atlantic on your doorstep, surfers are in for a treat. The wide bay at Woolacombe is perfect for learners and pros alike, while the village of Croyde welcomes huge swells into its small beach banked by rocky outcrops.
With the nearby Exmoor Bunkhouse within walking distance, both properties can be booked for larger group visits.

Ground floor
Enter into the open plan communal living area with kitchen, dining area and seating area with log burning stove.
Door through to the bedroom sleeping six (bunkbeds and ensuite shower room).
Notes for guests
Heating: Wood burner and eco electric radiators. Please note, guests must bring their own logs for the wood burner.
Bedding/linen: Bed linen provided (mattress protectors, sheets, pillows, duvets, pillowcases & duvet covers), but guests will have to make their own beds, and strip them at the end of their stay. Towels are not provided. A laundry bag will be provided for linen.
Parking: There is parking for two cars alongside the barn, additional parking is at Barna Barrow (not allocated) which is approximately 500 metres further up the hill.
Garden: There is an open grassy area at the side of the bunkhouse but no formal garden. There is secure storage for outdoor activity equipment in an adjoining storeroom.
Hazards: The Bunkhouse is close to the A39. Children will need to be accompanied at all times when outside. Dog owners should be aware that there is no enclosed garden at the bunkhouse.
