About Cotehele Mill CottageOn a working flour milling site, this two bedroom cottage has bags of period charm.
Once lived in by Cotehele’s Victorian miller, two-bedroom Cotehele Mill Cottage offers a stay with heritage, history and experience. Just like its former resident, you’ll be in the midst of its working milling site, where the distinctive smell of the flour wafts through the air. It sits just across from a flower-rich meadow with the stream gushing past and the woods beyond.
Inside, you’ll find classic and cosy interiors with the added charm of its period features. Latticed windows, an open fireplace and barn doors nod to its 19th-century beginnings. You’ll have free, out of hour’s access to the gardens and wider estate of Cotehele, where you’ll be able to explore its network of walking trails.
Further afield, The Tamar Valley, which meanders down from Launceston into the Plymouth Estuary, offers an abundance of walking, cycling and horse riding adventures. Or if you prefer to let the train take the strain, take the Tamar Valley Line from Plymouth to Gunnislake crossing the Calstock viaduct.
